The Winter Gymnasiade is a multi winter sport event for elite athletes . Each athlete competes in their own winter sport . The athletes are usually chosen by their Schools Sports Association or NGB. In the past we have regularly sent Skiing teams and more recently we sent a curling team .
The English Schools’ Ski Association select the Ski teams for this event.
In February 2023 a team was due to compete in Turkey in the Winter Gymnasiade however due to Earthquakes in Turkey the event was cancelled. We await the date of the next competition.
